animal in danger of extinction :(

         There are thousands of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and insects in Indonesia. Many if these animals are drying. People have cut down forest to build houses. The houses of many animals have been destroyed. Some people like to hunt animals for their skins or for sport. The number of elephants, rhinoceroses, tigers, and whales is now very small. Many fish have died in dirty rivers.

         The smoke and dirty gases have reduced the number of birds. Nowadays, the government has law to protect animals. Some of the animals protected in Indonesia are the Sumatran elephants, tigers, orangutan, and the Komodo Dragon, the Bird of Paradise and many kinds of butterflies and fish. They also have National Park of animals. Some zoos collect a few of these animals and breed them. They try to increase the numbers.
